Gloria P. Gershun
During her twenty years in Kansas City, Gloria P. Gershun made her mark as an active volunteer, a talented leader and strong financial supporter of education, the arts, and senior adult services in the Jewish community. Through Gloria’s thoughtful charitable estate planning, her legacy of giving will live on forever. In 1998, Gloria created a Charitable Remainder Unitrust. It was the perfect vehicle for combining her personal financial goals with her passion for philanthropy. By donating highly appreciated securities to the JCF, she avoided paying capital gains taxes; she received a charitable income tax deduction; and, she enjoyed an annual income stream for her lifetime. At her passing, the balance of the trust was used to create endowments for the charities she loved most.
