The Karbanks demonstrated their passion for giving by including the Jewish Community Foundation in their estate plans. Utilizing a creative strategy to transfer an income-producing property, they made a very generous gift that provides an income stream to the the family’s charitable fund at the Foundation for years to come. The property itself was then passed down to their children. The gift was also tax savvy, generating an income tax deduction and removing a valuable asset from their taxable estate.
